what ever happened to the viking spirit in scandinavia?
They use to the the terror of teh seas with the couage and agressivness in battle. Now it seems they replaced there longboats and Swords with poodles.
It truly is a shame that the Scandinavian countries have become nanny-states. On a recent visit to Norway I was stunned by how docile and non-competitive the people were. Everything was so damn orderly that there was no excitement anywhere. The country is completely geared to the lowest common denominator in everything but price. Regulation abounds. Goods and services are exceptionally expensive to pay inflated wages and the high taxes of a welfare economy. If it wasn’t for oil wealth the place would be bankrupt. These were the Vikings!
